Timothy Jaromir
As a well-traveled songwriter, Timothy Jaromir has an open view of the world. The many points of contact he has had with other people and places shine through again and again in his music. He sings about his own personal experiences, and the stories that have particularly touched him on his journey.
Themes of immigration, uprooting, and home have always been of particular concern to him. This may be due to the fact that Jaromir’s family itself is scattered all over the world: his mother is English and his wife is Canadian. Hiraeth – the title song of his current album – tells the story of his father, who fled from Czechoslovakia to Switzerland in 1968.
